Parametric Pool
New build | Pool
The vision of this scheme was to design a swimming pool, self-contained outbuilding in a conservation area.
This THINK NATURE design was inspired by the shape of water splashes, as created by a swimmer coming out of the pool. The walls and ceiling are an uninterrupted structure, with organic formed joints and the openings on the walls create shaded areas without obstructing light.
The roof design allows the most extraordinary shapes on the water, enabling the light to playfully interact with the water surface offering an ever-changing spectacle.
The whole structure is made of recycled timber and glass. It would be 3D printed off-site, adhering to sustainable construction principles.
Due to the conservation orders in the area, the adopted approach to planning, was to adhere to regulation requirements that allowed the project to progress under permitted development rights.
The Biophilic aspect is prominent with plants and natural forms creating a sanctuary of tranquillity.
It looks like the interior is constantly changing.
