Centre of Peace and Religion, London

Design Competition - Winner | Architecture

Exterior view of the Centre of Peace and Religion, showcasing its sculptural architecture and harmonious integration with the surrounding environment

A prime example of THINK NATURE design.

A green, carbon neutral building.

The building is a religion centre, but of a different kind. It is a centre where all religions are welcome.

The design is sculptural, offering each religion its own dedicated space for pray, as well as interactive areas.

All interactive areas are open plan and interconnect through a flowing graduation of space, from larger to smaller and vice versa.

The beauty of this design is that it brings together all religions under one roof to co-exist harmoniously.

The project was entered into the first competition that Debbie Flevotomou Architects participated in, and the design won first place. The project was featured on the Architect’s Journal.

The internal areas are bright and atmospheric. Trees and internal gardens contribute to the relaxation and comfort of the atmosphere, directly connected with the Biophilic concept of nature in space.

The design appears abstract, monumental and sculptural, like a piece of art.
