The Al Lulu Island in Abu Dhabi is a man-made island intended to become a place of greenery and nature in the area. It has had many design proposals in the past, none of which has materialised. Our THINK NATURE masterplan proposal creates a nature inspired, nature immerged destination, designed to emulate the curves, contours and shape of water droplets. Three pairs of buildings are created from one water-droplet-shaped structure that is rotated around its geometrical centre. Each pair combines two buildings facing eachother, to create a harmonious balance of ebbs and flows, so characteristic of the sea rhythms surrounding this modern-day island.

We believe that a nature inspired, nature rich masterplan design will better resonate with people in the area, creating a landmark destination where people can experience THINK NATURE design that maximizes on nature, both outdoors, the public realm and indoors in the commercial, office and living environment. The curves and contours of this THINK NATURE parametric design, destined to be the design of the future, can transform the Al Lulu Island, Abu Dhabi into a worldwide destination.
