Debbie Flevotomou Architect MA, PG Dip Arc, Dip Arc, BA (Hons) ARB, RIBA Director, Debbie Flevotomou Architects RIBA London Councillor Immediate Past Chair, South London Society of Architects, RIBA Principal: Debbie Flevotomou - London and Worldwide Debbie Flevotomou Architects was founded by Debbie Flevotomou, an award winning architect and urban designer, ballet dancer, an artist and an aspiring choreographer. Debbie finds inspiration for architecture in dance choreographies that she creates. The dance is flowing and the design is getting unfolded. Prior to starting her own company, she gained a wide range of experience in various size of practices in the UK. While working for small scale practices, she was involved with high-end individual houses, interior design and alterations. Later on she moved into a medium size practice, dealing with student accommodations and large residential schemes. She joined Foster + Partners in 2007 where she was involved with the design of hospitals, airports, high-end residential developments, mixed used blocks, towers, five star hotels, university campuses. Also involved in the design of a number of city master planning and Masdar City; which is the first carbon-neutral and zero- waste community in the desert with initial cost of £100 billion. She decided to start her own practice to pursue her own style of architecture –Parametric design. The practice has been awarded 6 design awards in 2016 and 12 design awards in 2017 to date, including ‘Female Architect of the year’, ‘Outstanding in Commercial Architecture’, ‘Best Specialist Architectural Practice’ to name but a few. The practice has already gained work in different parts of the world - including Africa and Middle East - with the vision to expand to USA and Asia. The practice specialises in all design orientated buildings, with an emphasis on tall buildings. The de-sign (renovation) of London Tower 42 has already been awarded 6 International Design Awards while only still at concept stage. Debbie's architectural philosophy is that "architecture should have a poetic dimension in order to con-tribute to peoples' well-being, teach generations about this moment in time and develop a potential social agenda - breaking free from the simple box with openings". Debbie has been recently elected as an RIBA Councillor. She is also the immediate past Chair-Lady of the South London Society of Architects RIBA. Richard Fleming Architect Ed.D. Abd Principal: Richard Fleming - USA Richard Fleming has over 25 years of experience in designing hotels, gold clubs, restaurants and residential to name but a few. Prior to starting his own company, Richard was the Principal Architect with the Walt Disney Company for Theme Parks, Hotels and Resorts. Richard then expanded into real estate development and led as the Executive of Architecture, Design and Interiors of Retail and Hospitality for the Irvine Company, one of the largest US real-estate investment companies and master-plan developer, The Irvine Company owns 500 office buildings, 160 apartment communities, 43 retail centers, hotels and golf courses. He started his own company in 2000 Since 2016, Richard is our USA partner.
